Stictocardia beraviensis is a perennial vine native to tropical Africa and belongs to the Convolvulaceae family. Due to its bright appearance, the plant is popular in many countries worldwide. It is interesting that the Magnoliopsid species, to which the plant belongs, was first described by Wilhelm Watke.
Braveheart Vine is easily identified by its lush, pointed, ovate leaves that can grow up to 20 cm (7 in) and its small, cup-shaped flowers that are pinkish crimson in color and streaked with orange inside. It blooms throughout the year, and the flowers are fragrant and attract various insects.
The seeds are in pods, which open after ripening. The plant proliferates, thereby covering a variety of trellises, fences, and trees, so you should be careful when choosing a planting site.
