Think it was over watered and was and is still in the same pot when purchased. How can this be saved?

If you're not sure, are the leaves crunchy or soft? If soft, you're right, best thing to do is leave it be. I tried to repot after purchasing an overwatered plant, she lost a leaf, and almost gave herself rot, so don't do what I did, let the soil dry out quite a bit, it could take a little while
Put several paper towels underneath it. When they become saturated, remove them and place more underneath. Continue until they stop absorbing water. Place it in area of best lighting for plant so it’s photosynthesizing at max capacity. Use the app light meter to make sure the sunlight is correct for plant.
How long did you purchased the plant? It’s best to repot about 2-4 weeks after bringing home a new plant so it can acclimate to the new environment.. water when the top soil feels dry (usually 11-14 days depending on the humidity, temp and pot size) this plant loves consistent moisture but not water logged, Just put it by the east window to get that indirect sunlight and leave let it be until it’s ready to get a drink
