You have to plant more grass seed the same exact was happening to my lawn, but after I planted more seed, the patches are starting to fill. After you plant the grass, you need to put a little bit of sand on the top of it

I would throw more seed and maybe a lil garden hay over the patches

Hi, I used coffee grounds for my patches when my husband heavily sprayed weed killer on my front lawn in this heatwave. It resolved the issue with seeds and lots of watering.
