what do the spots mean
I water once a week, leaves are still growing but I have those spots and bottom leaves are dying.

The plant appears healthy.
Lovely plant. You need to have app diagnose the second picture with the yellow leaf spots and see what it tells you to do. Hopefully it is root rot symptoms. I think you’re overwatering and need to fertilize.
My corn plant did the same thing. It used to be full and beautiful but started to develop these yellow spots. It was not overwatering but I believe it was more of a nutrient deficiency. I started fertilizer once a month and it hasn’t developed more. It lost a lot of leaves though.
