Is the plant sick?
I got this rubber plant like a week back and it came with this discolouration on the top with white rough patches. Is it sick? Or what should i do to cure it?

What type of soil are you using? These plants need a well draining mix with equal parts potting soil, perlite or pumice and orchid bark or coarse coco chips. The plants roots might have rot so inspect and remove mushy, black or foul smelling roots, letting them dry before repotting (15-20 min). Your pot will need drainage holes. These like humidity or mist but not wet soil.
