First Bloom!

Back in late August while my sister and I were closing up a family summer home (passed down from my grandparents), my aunt had stayed there last. She had bought a whole lot of plants during her stay - hundreds of dollars worth! AND SHE LEFT ALL OF THEM!!! The ones inside hadnt been watered in more than a month and the ones outside had no drainage! I gathered everyone up and brought them home! The first thing I said to my mom as brought everyone in was: “YOUR SISTER IS A BAD PLANT MOM!!!!” I repotted the inside ones, giving them new pots with drainage, fresh soil with fertilizer and a good soak! The outside ones were more difficult! In one pot there was a large dragon tree and several kalanchoes. I had to untangled the different species and cut away a lot of root rot. I used a water/peroxide solution to remove any excess bad bacteria and replanted the dragon tree in its own pot. I ended up propagating the kalanchoes into four small pots, giving three away and I kept one! It recently bloomed and Im so happy and feel pretty proud of myself.
